History and natural history in Warwickshire
Stereoscopic photographic views of history and natural history in Warwickshire
Location: The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Henley St, Stratford-upon-Avon
Based on his digitised, mid nineteenth century, stereo photographic card views of the Warwickshire County Records Office, Bob Pryce will present 3D audio visual shows depicting the past and present of some Warwickshire landmarks (especially Shakespeare's Stratford). Some 3D AV shows of butterfly and/or moth life cycles using macroscopic 3D photography will also be presented.
Dr Bob Pryce is a retired, professional chemist who has worked in industry and academia. He is an active member of the Stereoscopic Society - a society which, since 1893, has been furthering interest in stereoscopic photography; a technique which started in the mid nineteenth century and blossomed into a large Victorian pastime.
