As last year, there will be a single slide category, and entrants will need to decide whether to enter images as either prints or digital files for projection.
The photojournalism competition has been replaced by a section called 2010/11 images. The original aim of this section was to provide a photographic record for future generations of everyday life today. However many of the entries submitted last year were dramatic images of events that might have appeared in a newspaper. This year you are invited to enter images for either a record of everyday events, or more dramatic shots that might have received newspaper coverage. Each section winner will receive a certificate.
In 2010 year Barry Aldous converted all the submitted images to a digital form for the shows at our meetings and this is planned for 2011 as well.

The closing date for entry is January 31st as usual. It has been my experience that although the entry forms have gone out long before Christmas, nearly all entries are received in the last month.
