Folio Groups
Folios
Ever since the founding of the Society in 1893, one of the core activities has been the circulation of images by post for viewing and comment by the members of the "folio groups"
In the early days, stereo cards were sent round by post, but over the years other image formats were added. Today there are a number of groups using the 41 x 101mm slide format and a group for pairs of 50 x 50mm slides. In addition, there is a "large format" group and a section specialising in the View Magic "over and under" print system.
To cater for new members who are still building up their own collection of stereo images, a "View Only" folio group was introduced some years ago.
The most recent addition is the Computer Group for members using computers as a tool in the production of their images (whether by drawing from scratch or manipulating digitised photographic images)
