11th-13th May 2001

We have chosen another Moat House Hotel for this year's convention. It offers great value with fantastic facilities. Leisure club, swimming pool and spa are available to all guests. The largest projection room we have ever had, together with additional breakout room for coffee breaks and discussions, free large car park. It has easy access from the A1M and is only a short taxi ride from Peterborough main line station. Centrally located in England it will be convenient for most members to travel to. Amongst the many possibilities for our Sunday excursion are: a guided walking tour of the magnificent cathedral and city centre, visits to the wonderful surrounding villages including the historic town of Stamford, The Nene Valley Railway which travels through the Ferry Meadows Country Park, Flag Fen, Cambridge and Lincoln are within reach. Also well worth a visit whilst in the area are: Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery, Burghley House in Stamford, Longthorpe Tower, Thorney Heritage Museum and many more.

For those free to go, a shopping trip to Peterborough city centre, which boasts the largest indoor shopping floor space in the eastern region, could be arranged for Saturday morning if enough people are interested. Come early and enjoy a swim and all the facilities the Hotel has to offer.

More details will be displayed on our notice boards, web page and in the Journal when we have had more time to explore the photographic possibilities.
