Telford 17th – 20th May 2024

This year we stayed at the Mercure Telford Centre Hotel in Telford, a modern new town in Shropshire lying to the north west of Birmingham.  We enjoyed three evenings of 3D projections and there were workshops and displays for members to enjoy on Saturday morning.  The afternoon was free for attendees to either explore the town and surrounding area, or to watch a feature film in 3D – “Dial M For Murder”.

Our Sunday outing was to the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, where there was plenty to keep us occupied all day as we looked around the houses and businesses, recreated to show how they looked in years gone by.  The weather couldn’t have been better, being very warm and sunny all day.

Those who wished to stay a little longer enjoyed a Monday morning walk around Loamhole Dingle in the Severn Gorge, a short walk away from the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron.
